3 documentaries
I took advantage of the free AppleTV+ I have at the moment to catch 3 documentaries-STEVE! (martin) a documentary in 2 pieces, Still: A Michael J. Fox Movie, and Beastie Boys Story.
All three very good, and fairly different approaches to telling their respective stories. The ups & downs, successes, and hardships each went through.
But I was surprised that in each was captured (what seemed) a very raw emotional moment.
Steve Martin getting visibly choked up about John Candy, while reminiscing about a cut scene in 'Planes, Trains, and Automobiles'.
Micheal J. Fox being caught off-guard, while narrating his own biography, about the death of his father.
Adam Horowitz unable to finish his lines when talking about their last show with Adam Yauch.
None of these, to me, seemed manufactured. Instead just people being blindsided by a thought/memory/feeling while doing something they've probably rehearsed or done multiple times already. Happens to us all.
