Brunch!

A group brunch was floated a little while ago. Today's the day and I was looking forward to seeing everyone. Unfortunately Ruchi was suffering from a migraine and couldn't make it.

Six Shooter Coffee

First stop for me was Six Shooter Coffee in Waterloo. Just off the freeway, a great selection of coffee that opens early. A latte hit the spot. Off to Tremont.

Rowley Inn

Opposite the Christmas Story House is The Rowley Inn. Great choice from Brooke as they have vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free options. Street parking was tight and I ended up in the next street over. Good job I arrived early.

Michael & I waited at the bar for the others to arrive. The place was hopping, so it was good we had a reserved table. I'd already set my mind for the Breakfast Poutine, which did not disappoint.

In fact everyone's choice looked great. Catching up with everyone, seeing vacation photos, time flew and we needed to settle up and let the table get cleared for the next group.

Lincoln Park Pub

So the Lincoln Park Pub was our next destination.

Apart from a couple of (I assume) regulars we had the place to ourselves. Drinks ordered, we settled into a couple of games of pool. Michael & Kristen vs. Brooke & myself. Liz cheering us both on, it was a drawβ€”1 game each.

Brooke "making way" for Kristen's shot

The music seemed to be curated by someone at the bar. A mix of Prince, Yeah Yeah Yeah's, and Thompson Twins. Reminded me of Sunday afternoons back at the Fish & Firkin (now The Alex) in Southend.

After a while it was time to go our separate ways. I'm looking forward to the next brunch (plans have been made).
