Strolling down Spook Street
Spent today with Jackson Lamb's rejects.
I've become a big fan of Mick Herron's Slough House series of novels. I got the fourth one as a present last Xmas.
Not having much to do today, decided to enjoy the outside and crack it open.
Taking only a short break to cook dinner, I finished it around 10pm. Another fantastic entry.
River Cartwright's Grandfather suffering from dementia, a suicide bomb attack in London, and the fallout from the events in Real Tigers barrels into a great story told at breakneck speed.
Once again the make up of the "slow horses" changes. No character (new or old) is safe. And once again, Jackson Lamb is as caustic & irreverent as ever.
Can't wait to start 'London Rules', the next in the series.
