Waking up to cockrels
It started with chickens across the street from us. Then a vegetable patch, what looks like a wood-burning stove in the garage, finally a large fence.
Behind us a wood & chicken-wire structure for vegetables appeared. One over from that, more chickens.
Urban Homesteading seems to be taking root in the outer suburbs of Cleveland.
It reminds me of the "self sufficient" trend of the 70's in th UK, epitomized by the sitcom "The Good Life"βI loved that as a kid.
With rising prices and a still shaky global supply chain, why not look back to what worked during a time when roaming blackouts and long lines at petrol pumps made the news.
